Victory Over Sin

The Spirit of God that is within us and our sinful nature are constantly fighting each other.

Our sinful nature wants to produce defiling our bodies, sex outside of marriage, impurity, lustful desires, idolatry, witchcraft, hostility, fighting, jealousy, anger, selfishness, self-righteousness, division, envy, getting drunk, etc.

While Holy Spirit produces, Love, Joy, Peace, Kindness, Patience, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.

Galatians 5:24 (NLT) tells us, "Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there."

If we let Holy Spirit guide our lives as suggested in (Galatians 5:16) we will produce the Fruit of the Spirit.

Romans 3:8-31 reads, “For everyone has sinned, we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God in His grace freely make us right in His sight—for God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding His blood.  

Doing good can be hard, but we have Victory over Sin, because Jesus Christ died for that.
